In 2006, after working 10 years in an office for a company I love I (Jon) took a long planned year sabbatical to travel. At the conclusion of that I made a decision to build a location independent business that I could run while continuing to travel and able to live all over the world. Somewhere along the way I also managed to convince Elena to sign on to this plan.

We've both lived long-term in California and Hawaii. Two beautiful places we love, however we still love exploring new places. For the last several years we've been continuously traveling while still operating each of our businesses remotely. Jon owns a web development agency and Elena owns a subscription box business.

Over the last few years we've mostly opted for staying in Airbnb's, however we've also readily provided long term house sitting for friends in need of someone caring for their pets, plants, pools, pipes (from freezing).

We're both in our 40s and we've slowed down the pace of our travels a lot over the last decade. We've gone from spending a couple weeks somewhere, to spending a month or more each place we go. We both really do work a lot from where ever we are, taking evenings to explore the local food and weekends to exploration of local sites.
